Identity Before Visibility

The Unlocking

A 5-month brand evolution for founders and leaders who are operating at one level and positioned at another. This is the work that closes that gap.

Personal branding is not a headshot, a LinkedIn headline and a posting schedule. It is the clearest possible answer to: what does that person actually do, and why should I call them?

At its best, it gives you a whole new way to navigate life, from the driver’s seat.

You can't read the label from inside the bottle

Some people arrive knowing exactly what they're building. They just can't articulate it. The pitch is wordier than it needs to be. The bio doesn't land. The right opportunities aren't arriving, and the ones that are, aren't quite right. They're operating at one level and positioned at another.

That gap has a name: Identity Lag.

Others arrive at a different kind of stuck. The role has ended, the business has evolved, the chapter has closed. What comes next isn't yet clear. They have a rich mixture of experience and capability but can't put it in a box. The coffees aren't converting. The headhunters keep defaulting to the old version.

Both are the same problem, one layer apart: you can't see yourself clearly from the inside.

Good positioning and good wayfinding require someone on the outside. Not more self-reflection. Not another coffee. A strategic mirror, and someone who knows what to do with what they find.

Either way: visibility without identity clarity is noise. We do the inside work first.

This is for you if

Your personal brand determines whether the right opportunities find you or pass you by. It shapes how quickly trust is built, what you’re paid, and whether the rooms you want to be in start inviting you in.

When it’s aligned with who you’ve become, things move. When it isn’t, it costs you.

  • The Corporate Leaver:
The scaffolding of a big brand is gone, but the ambition is very much alive. You know you’re capable of building something meaningful. What’s missing is a brand and market position that gives others immediate confidence in your value, opens the right doors, and makes the right people want to work with you.

  • The Scaling Founder.
Your business has grown. You have too. But the way you’re positioned hasn’t kept pace. That gap shows up in the calibre of opportunities coming your way, the people you attract, and the level of influence you know you should be operating at.

  • The Subject Matter Expert.
You have depth. Experience. Hard-won expertise. But it doesn’t land quickly enough. You need a clearer narrative, stronger authority signals, and a presence that moves you from respected by a few to sought after by many.

  • The Professional in Transition.
You’ve built something substantial, but you know the next chapter wants more intention. Something needs to shift. You’re just not yet clear what. This is about designing that next move deliberately, so you stop defaulting into whatever comes next and start creating the work, income and life that actually fit.

The methodology

You've been in business long enough to know a surface rebrand doesn't stick. What you need is someone who works at the intersection of brand strategy and identity. Not just the messaging. The human stuff underneath it.

From two decades building brands for Google, Bonds, Disney, banks, cars, peaches: I've learnt that the best brands aren't manufactured. They're excavated. The insight is already in you. It's in the language you reach for, the stories you tell, the things the people closest to you see that you can't name yet.

I call it Brand Archaeology. I pair Fortune 500 frameworks with Human Design as a calibration tool, and input from your inner circle, to understand not just what your brand says, but where it's out of step with who you're becoming.

My methodology is Identity Before Visibility. Positioning sharp first. Then activate.

The Unlocking

Phase 01: Brand Archaeology

This is where we surface what you can't see from the inside: the through-line connecting your varied experiences, the skills you take for granted that others find remarkable, the differentiated point of view you've been underselling.

Every client arrives at a different point in their transition. Some know exactly where they're headed and need the language to match. Others are still in the wayfinding: uncovering what actually nourishes them versus what they think they should pursue, and what the next chapter could look like before we shape how to talk about it. The archaeology meets you where you are.

Through rigorous inquiry and Brand Archaeology, you'll articulate who you're becoming, design authority that holds your evolution, and choose where to show up with precision.

By the end of this phase, you make sense to yourself in a way you couldn't manufacture alone.

Phase 02: Strategic Synthesis

This is where you stop second-guessing and start moving.

A positioning statement you actually believe in. An Opportunity Filter: clear criteria for saying yes to what nourishes and no to what depletes, so you stop ending up in roles or conversations that aren't quite right. Language for what you do that lands without a follow-up explanation. A messaging framework built to hold your evolution. Your brand voice, in the register that's authentically yours when you're not overthinking it.

For clients mapping a transition, this phase also defines the portfolio: the right balance of what you want to build, in proportions that actually sustain you.

The result isn't a document. It's a position you can stand in, and activate from with energy and excitement.

Phase 03: Activation Strategy

Strategy without activation is a nice document. This phase translates everything into a plan built around how you naturally connect, not cold outreach, not a content treadmill, not your coffee on Instagram.

Built entirely to your goals, it typically includes LinkedIn and digital presence, website and proposal language, and an outreach approach that fits your energy. For some clients that means building visibility in a new category. For others it means showing up differently in the conversations and rooms they're already in, activating what's already there rather than starting from scratch.

We co-create a roadmap that holds as you keep evolving.

If you're ready to close the gap between who you are and how you're being seen, apply below.

Where you land

You leave knowing who you are in your most potent form, and exactly how to activate that version of you.

Most clients arrive confused and a little scared. Too many ideas, too many directions, nothing cohesive. They leave calm, clear, and excited to be seen. Positioned to grow. Moving through the world differently.

You also leave with a brand built to hold your evolution. Not something that needs rebuilding every time you grow into the next version of yourself.

FROM

  • Confused, scattered, a little scared

  • Big blank sheet of paper

  • Doing the qualifying yourself

  • Visible but not distinct

  • Rebuilding the pitch every time

  • The wrong opportunities arriving

TO

  • Calm, clear, embodied, excited

  • Everything pulled together

  • Brand does the pre-vetting

  • Unmistakably you

  • One voice, consistent everywhere

  • The right people, already sold

The strategist behind the work

For 20 years, I built brands for Google, Bonds and Berlei. The kind of work that wins Cannes Lions and shifts markets. I learned exactly what makes people pay attention, and what makes them look away.

Then I turned that lens on myself.

I stepped out of corporate to move into a more intentional chapter, one that required claiming my identity and purpose without the scaffolding of a big brand behind me. Making that transition without the right guide taught me something critical: what people in evolution actually need.

I see the same pattern everywhere. Highly capable people aren't lacking talent. They're leaking energy through unclear positioning, identity lag, and visibility tactics that don't compound.

That's the work I do now.

In their words

  • “I finally feel like I make sense. I had so many ideas and directions, but nothing felt cohesive. This process pulled everything together in a way that feels like me: clearer, stronger, and actually positioned to grow.”

    —Client 1

  • “You've managed to see something impossible to see in myself and put it into one place. It's given me excitement and this spine-tingling feeling that this is right.

    —Client 2

  • “It's been way more powerful and gutsy and under the hood than I anticipated. I was so stuck and I feel so much more confident and embodied.”

    —Client 3

  • “The process creates clarity from confusion - moving me from a big blank sheet of paper to feeling calm and clear-headed. Zoë truly sees you and cuts through the noise.”

    —Client 4

  • “I started from a point of confusion, not clear on what I wanted to offer the world. Zoë was able to fully see my unique value and transform it into a brand strategy that really made sense.”

    —Client 5

Ready to do the work?

The people who do this work aren't waiting until everything lines up perfectly. They're ready now, even if the path isn't entirely clear yet.

If that's you, let's talk.
